A Smart Home, starts with wifi that really works everywhere around the home. Back in the day, we used multiple routers or wifi extenders to get those signals from the far rooms. WiFi today and the information it delivers is too important to “half-ass”. We use Access Points that are either hard wired together or tat create a wireless mesh network that covers the home with a single SSID and allows for “Handshake Roaming”, meaning devices cam move around the property while locking onto a single consistent signal.  This helps improve the performance and usability of all IOT devices and makes sure you can always connect to them.

One of the major differences of this kind of streaming is the control. No longer are you bound to listening to the same source of music in the whole house. Now any member of the family can have their music in their listening space and all controlled from their phone or tablet or even from a Amazon Alexa or Google Home Hub.
